In order to elevate my audience engagement, I have aquired skills throughout my AJAM experience regarding design, specifically through media and infographics. In order to compare the Pros and Cons of the new vending machine, I placed them side-by-side each other to present a contrast and display it simply for the readers to comprehend. Additionally, through the use of my design skills, I created an intriguing title image for my photo essay that captures the readers eye because of its pop of holiday colors and halloween spirit that perfectly demonstrates what my article and photo essays will cover. Lastly, my design skills have evolved through posting on social media. I have adapted the skills and experience regarding how to create appealing media coverage on topics and display colored coordinated titles and images to capture the audiences attention.
Online Entrepreneur
During quarantine I had a lot of time on my hands, and I really started to dig deeper into my passions and hobbies. I found a way to combine my organizational skills, my social media knowledge, and my love for fashion to create my own online clothing store on Poshmark and Depop. I gained many followers in a small span of time while rapidly selling my clothes. I think the key to my online shop's success was how I marketed the clothes with appealing photos and added descriptive captions. Having an understanding of what style was popular helped too. This outside experience helped me master using the element of design to attract an audience which is very effective for publishing on the Bark social media and creating infographics for stories in general.
